Processing-plant supervisors must meet rigid federal Good
Manufacturing Practice requirements to assure the safety of
low-acid or acidified canned
foods. They can learn how in the University of Georgia Better
Process Control School in
Athens, Ga.

The school, which covers the critical factors supervisors
must know in these canning processes, will be March 7-10 at the
Georgia Center for Continuing Education.

The school is sponsored by the UGA
Department of Food Science
and Technology and the Food Process Research and Development
Laboratory.

The $500 fee covers training
materials, supplies, refreshment
breaks, three lunches, tuition and certificates.
Preregistration is required.
