Walter Reeves

Birds do it. Bees do it. But how do flowers and trees do it?
On the next
“Gardening in Georgia” June 15 and 17, host Walter
Reeves will tell what to say
when your child asks, “How do plants make babies?”

Besides his “daffodil botany” lesson, Reeves will
also look at “garbage
gardening.” He’ll show how to sprout an avocado pit, root a
pineapple top and plant
ginger and garlic you find at the grocery store.

He’ll show how to get four times as many flowers by
deadheading (removing the faded
flowers from) your rhododendrons, too.

Finally, he’ll look at tropical plants. The tropical look
that’s so popular in
commercial landscapes can become a part of your landscape,
too.
