If you’ve never thought about planting a potager, you may
need
to watch “Gardening
in Georgia” June 22 or 24 on Georgia Public Television.
A potager is an area in which you plant both edible and
ornamental plants. Host Walter
Reeves visits with guest Tara Dillard, who shows her selections
for an attractive summer
potager.
Reeves also takes a look at shot-hole disease on English
laurels. The name perfectly
describes the disease. It looks as if someone has blasted your
laurels! Reeves shows how
to identify and control this problem.
Finally, Reeves tackles an old math problem. Is pi square? Or
is pi round? Walter shows
how to use simple math to calculate how much water to apply to a
big tree during a
drought.
