University of Georgia
Anyone who makes a living with a nursery, greenhouse or landscape
business needs to keep abreast of the latest new production or
cultural practices, plants, products, pests and pesticides to
stay competent and competitive.
Fortunately, the University of Georgia makes it easy to stay
up-to-date. The 2006 Georgia-Florida Green Industry Updates Oct.
17-19 provide the latest information on a wide range of current
topics.
The first two programs in the series, Oct. 17 in Kingsland, Ga.,
and Oct. 18 in Quincy, Fla., are mainly for turf and landscape
professionals. The Oct. 19 program in Quincy is for people in the
nursery business.
Each program will offer pesticide recertification credits for
Georgia and Florida. The Kingsland program will offer credits for
South Carolina, too, as well as International Society of
Arboriculture credits for arborists.
A $40 fee, or $50 after Oct. 2, will cover lunch, refreshment
breaks and all instruction and handouts. Register
online at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center (www.caes.uga.edu/campus/tifton/conferences).
Or call the center at (229) 386-3416.
