On “The Georgia Gardener” May 20 and 22, University of
Georgia entomologist Beverly Sparks will show host
Walter Reeves how to control
fire ants with the
“Georgia Two-step.” Effective control, she explains, involves
two steps: first
scattering a bait, then using a mound treatment.

Later, Dr. Richard Sturm, a dermatologist at The Piedmont
Clinic in Atlanta, tells how
to protect your skin from sun damage. And UGA entomologist Kris Braman
tells about spittlebugs in
lawns.

Catch “The Georgia Gardener” Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and
Saturday at 10 a.m. on
GPTV. Specifically for Georgia gardeners, the show is a
production of the UGA College of
Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and PFC Holding Company.
