“Journeys Through a Mountain Landscape” is the theme of the
annual Southern Appalachian Landscape Seminar April 25 in
Blairsville, Ga.

Experts will speak on such topics as garden diseases,
drought-tolerant native plants and mountain plant folklore. Local
nursery owners and landscapers will provide exhibits. And the
Blairsville Garden Club will again sponsor the annual plant
sale.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. Homemade
cookies and coffee will be served starting at 9 a.m. for those
who want to come early, see the landscape exhibits and talk with
local nursery owners and horticulturists.

The $20 preregistration fee (it’s $25 at the door) includes a box
lunch. Seating is limited. To learn more, call the North Georgia
Research and Education Center at (706) 745-2655.
