For the folks who raise cattle, Mountain Beef Cattle Field Day
April 17 in Blairsville, Ga., will be just about a perfect world:
spending a beautiful day in the mountains learning more about
raising cattle.

The day will begin with 9:30 a.m. registration and refreshments
at the picturesque Mountain Research and Education Center. The
program will start at 10 a.m. and end at 3 p.m.

During the field day, University of Georgia scientists and others
will provide the latest information on forages, hay storage,
marketing, herd health, stocker research and replacement
heifers.

The field day is free and even includes a noon lunch. For more
