To meet the growing need for landscape training, University of
Georgia Extension Service agents in Hall County have scheduled
the North Georgia Landscape and Turf Clinic Oct. 23 in Oakwood,
Ga.
The program is an update for commercial landscape and turf
employees. UGA faculty and other experts will address such topics
as pesticide safety, annuals and perennials, turf diseases, new
turf herbicides, urban tree care, water issues and insects of
ornamentals and trees.
The clinic will be on the Gainesville College campus at 3820
Mundy Mill Road (Hwy. 53), just off I-985 in Oakwood. A $15 fee
covers all costs. Participants will also get four hours of
pesticide re-certification credit in Category 24.
