The seventh edition of the annual Goat-a-Rama near Tennille, Ga.,
promises to be the biggest yet. And for people who raise goats in
Georgia and throughout the Southeast, the April 5 event is
already the biggest around.

For the first time, this year’s Goat-a-Rama will include a
brood-stock auction. Full-blooded and high-percentage goats of
brood-stock quality can be entered in this sale.

As always, spaces will be provided, for a small fee, for
private-treaty goat sales. Among other things, the Goat-a-Rama
will feature:

  • Educational seminars and clinics on grooming and showing
    techniques, parasite identification and more.
  • Demonstrations by industry experts on cooking, goat milking,
    hoof trimming and more.
  • Goat equipment exhibits and sales, and feed and forage
    displays.

Admission is free, and door prizes will be given. Visitors may
also have a chance to win a registered Boer buck or one of two
registered Boer does. And goat barbecue will be available for
lunch.
